Stapldiscount Corporation


Stapldiscount, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Staplcotn, operates on a non-profit basis for the benefit of its member-borrowers.

History

In 1923 the members of Staplcotn formed Staple Cotton Discount Corporation (Stapldiscount), to serve the credit requirements of Mid-South agriculture. The two cooperatives have a common board of directors and officers, and they share a home office in Greenwood, MS. Both of the institutions are nationally recognized as leaders in their respective fields.

Services

Since its founding, Stapldiscount has financed millions of acres of Mid-South crops as well as provided financing for a broad range of agricultural activities including:

The New York Prime Rate has averaged 7.56% over the last 20 years.

During that same period, Stapldiscount's average net interest rate (after patronage rebate) was 6.93%.

We do not have different rates for different borrowers. Each loan gets equal treatment, the same low rate, and the best service possible. That's the co-op way.

No Hidden Charges

As a non-profit cooperative, our low variable interest rate provides outstanding savings to our member-borrowers.

Stapldiscount makes every effort to minimize our loan fees. Local and/or state filing fees, and a lien-search fee (where applicable) are typically the only fees charged to our borrowers.

Our loan officer will come to you in order to establish and to service the loan.

Our fiscal year ends January 31st of each year. In mid-February, patronage dividends are returned to our member- borrowers on a pro-rata basis.
